30th International Film Festival Rotterdam
This world-renowned festival has built its reputation by minimising pomp and hype and maximising quality programming. The Hollywood blockbusters are generally set aside to make room for the best of world cinema, resulting in a festival most loved by the film-makers themselves. This year’s edition has over 200 competing features, 100 short films, videos and CD-ROMs and several special programmes, including a Roy Andersson retrospective.
