Vivre Sa Vie
A veritable feast of French contemporary art is highlighted and celebrated in this multi-venue festival curated by Tanya Leighton.
Chez Jean
This is a solid and personable neighbourhood bistro with a decent 195F menu and pleasant relaxed service in a décor of pine panelling. Many dishes have a few stylish bells and whistles, a sign that both the personable owner and the kitchen care. The best buy is the full meal. Starters of sautéed squid with red peppers in pesto and croustillant de poulet on salad were delicious, while steak with reblochonade (sliced potatoes in a sauce of reblochon cheese) and sautéed duck breast with turnips were also satisfying. It gets filled with a crowd of happy local punters, including several people on their own who were very well looked after.
