Moscow Film Festival
The programme has yet to be announced but the Moscow Film Festival always has something for everyone. It’s an old fashioned type of festival run by devoted cineastes with a broad range of films from all over the world – retrospectives, Hollywood blockbusters and new Russian films all pack the city’s cinemas with nightly concerts on Pushkin Square an accompaniment. Foreign film stars often make an appearance with Robert de Niro, Richard Gere and Sophia Loren among recent guests.
